Gain Clarity, Get FOCUS

August 21, 2012

We here at Handlebars are quite selective about the bike brands we carry.  With a full staff of daily riders and former/current racers we like to be as discerning as possible when it comes to a bike we might represent.  At the end of 2011 we felt our bike line-up was missing something so we went on a hunt.  What we found was FOCUS Bikes.

Straight from the FOCUS Bikes website; "»From Pros for Pros« guarantees technological advantages for everyone." This is a big part of the FOCUS motto and mission statement.  You would be really hard pressed to find better spec'd carbon bikes in the market today for the dough.  This trickle-down technology effect means the pro tour riders are riding what you are riding the vast majority of the time.  You can race these bikes.

Take, for example, the entire Handlebars Elite team riding FOCUS Bikes this season, as well as, Peter (the Handlebars owners) riding a FOCUS regularly and calling it just "one of his bikes".  Pete has seen and ridden everything that's worth riding, that statement carries weight.  These bikes are the real deal.

For a company that is barely over 20 years of age FOCUS Bikes has really grown up quickly.  Sponsoring numerous Pro and Continental road teams, MTBers, Cyclocross racers, and triathletes the brand is growing a strong foothold in the industry.  Add to that; "The entire production and quality control take place in Cloppenburg, Germany. The historical location stands for quality worldwide."  This brand is garnering a strong reputation for craftsmanship and performance.

While their bikes are quite popular in Europe these days, they have a much smaller presence in the states you can't find FOCUS Bikes in many areas of the country. If you're looking for a new bike this just might be for you. Gain some focus with your riding, check one out.
